Inspire Charity Polo Match

The Charity Polo Match is held on Rundle Cup day at the Tidworth Polo Club. This is a match between a team of National Hunt jockeys and a team of Eventers from the world of Horse Trials. Devised some years ago by Janet Benney as a means to raise money for Spinal Injuries and the hospital units that treat them, it is now run in aid of 'Inspire' the spinal injuries charity based at Salisbury Hospital where the Spinal Unit is world famous for it' s pioneering work and advanced technology
Proposed Timetable of Events
- 10:00 - Gates open
- 11:00 - Jockeys and riders arrive and meet with Marion Begley
- 12:00 - Charity Polo Match. (2 chukkas) + bicycle polo (1 chukka)
- 12.50 - Wheelchair races
- 13:00 - 2 furlong dash (thoroughbred v polo pony)
- 13:15 - Inspire prize giving
- 13:30 - Lunch
- 13:30 - Free fall parachuting
- 14:30 - ICOA v a team from the US
- 16:30 - Rundle Cup (Army v Navy)
- 17:35 - Prize giving
- 18:00 - Reception (ending at 19.00)
- Car passes ordered in advance - £20 / Car passes on the day - £25
